Jacket Windstopper® S-Gard OFFICER PRO

The new WINDSTOPPER softshell OFFICER PRO features elastic inserts on the torso, shoulders, and elbows, ensuring excellent freedom of movement. These elastic inserts are made of GORE BLUEFIN membrane. The two-layer stretch material is highly elastic, completely windproof, and very breathable. Elastic parts on the torso, shoulders, and elbows further enhance the comfort and freedom of movement of a modern functional jacket. The look and fit of the softshell are sporty and functional, while maintaining an official and uniform character for your work.

The jacket is composed of three layers - a water-repellent outer material, wind-resistant membrane, and warm, soft layer inside the jacket. Features include a stand-up collar, ergonomically shaped sleeves, extended back, full two-way zip, epaulettes on the shoulders, shoulder pocket with flap and pencil pocket, two side zip pockets, inner zip pocket, and adjustable hem.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOFTSHELL JACKET AND WINDSTOPPER JACKET

It is important to distinguish between these two jackets, as they are two different terms for clothing. Both roughly protect the body from wind and water and provide breathability to the body. Both types of jackets have a membrane that acts as a kind of filter, protecting us from wind, cold, and rain.

The difference is in value, namely Windstopper® is a patented trademark of the manufacturer Gore® (which also produces the world-renowned premium Gore-tex® membrane).

This means that all items marked with Windstopper® ensure top quality from the manufacturer Gore®. The company Gore® stands behind its products and has raised the concept of quality to a new level, as they have also anticipated the way their materials and membranes are integrated into clothing and footwear. They also oversee the production of these. If someone does not integrate their products in the predetermined way, they are no longer a Gore® partner. They are very precise about this because they want the brand to remain at the top of quality.

While Softshell material/membrane is not subject to such precise quality control, which means that anyone can use it, resulting in the fact that under the "softshell" label, the buyer does not know what they are actually getting for their money, so the price of softshell clothing can vary greatly, from a few 10 euros to several 100 euros or more. With the Windstopper® label, the buyer always knows what they are getting for their money.
