Details
Only 12 kVA electric generators with a fuel tank made of plastic mounted under the engine.
The cover of the tank is secure from leaks - with a thread and ventilation function. It is made of the highest quality XPE material - capacity approx. 12 litres. It has a fuel level gauge, a built-in three-point tap for extended operation, and a oil drain tap for clean and easy oil changes.
Displayed in a reliable form and quality for:
- insulation monitoring with display and audible alarm
- load display: total or by phases with LED
- voltage display with switch
- switch for changing poles left/right, with mechanical lock
- EMERGENCY STOP sensor with audible alarm
- main switch for electronic ignition
- fuse checker device
- LCD fuel level display and LED reserve display
- working hours counter
The generator ensures simplicity and clarity with optimally arranged control elements, insulation monitoring with audible alarm via a horn according to DIN 14685-1.
It has a service cover on both sides with magnetic closure and safety covers with warning pictograms.
The exhaust silencer made of alloy steel operates extremely quietly. Fuel can be supplied from a canister via the built-in three-point tap and a fuel kit for extended operation.
DIN exhaust system with a spark arrestor for your safety and possibility of connecting exhaust pipe. Service cover with an absorbent pad opens without tools for best engine service access
Engine and generator are separated by aluminium sheet and a special fibreglass mat.
Roll-over valve in the tank made of synthetic materials, adopted from the automotive industry for optimal ventilation and highest safety.
Easy access to fuses that trip in case of thermal and electrical shocks.
The battery requires no maintenance.
The handle grips are made of aluminium alloy for maximum stability. Foldable and non-slip carrying handles that keep your hands warm in cold weather and enable an ergonomically correct carrying position, air vent in the cover protects against overheating.
Tool bag is included as standard.
Frames, control panels, service and protective covers can be chosen from the RAL colour palette (optional).

Thermal Safety:
Firefighting electric generators boast extremely high performance in small dimensions. Measurements are determined in DIN 14685-1. Consequently, high thermal loads, even within the framework of installation in firefighting vehicles, are constructively addressed by the manufacturer. Mag Motorn electric generators are designed for continuous operation, therefore they use only components that meet industrial requirements.
Electrical Safety:
DIN 14685-1 also specifies electrical requirements for electric generators and related electrical safety. Electric generators are serially produced with the safety measure of "Potential Equalization Separation." In addition, all electric generators are equipped with insulation monitoring, which, together with the previous measure, forms an additional safety element.
Some technical terms in the field of electric generators:
Low Consumers:
These are consumers that draw the same current at startup as during operation (light bulbs, hobs, heating elements, ...)
Inductive Consumers:
These are consumers that can draw up to 8 times the power at startup compared to the power stated for operation. These include various electric motors (single-phase or three-phase). This must be taken into account when selecting the power of the electric generator.
Power:
The stated power (apparent power) in electric generators is denoted by VA (voltampere).
Power Factor (cos phi):
This is obtained from the ratio of apparent power to working power, and is generally used for three-phase current consumers. The acceptable value is 0.8. If the power of the electric generator (indicated in VA) is multiplied by this factor, the working power of the generator is obtained (indicated in W - Watt).
Working Power:
It is measured in watts. The power stated by the manufacturer can be easily assumed when operating low consumers. For inductive consumers, the power factor must be considered.
Synchronous Generators:
MAG Motorn exclusively uses synchronous generators suitable for all users. Generators can be cooled internally (IP 23 mode) or externally (IP 54 mode). Those used in outdoor environments must comply with the IP 54 mode.
Mag Motorn firefighting electric generators meet the IP 54 requirements.
